Sometimes clinical trials may not work. In that case we have to redefine the study and look for new suitable populations to perform the test.
The genetic constitution of people modifies the action of the drugs, this is, each person may react differently to a drug: to achieve greater effectiveness, a personalized medicine is needed.
It will be necessary to look for subpopulations in which the drug gets the intended effect, and often this is not that simple.
